Psychology
Psychodiagnostic Assessment:
This kind of assessment is used to help to identify areas to focus on in therapy and/or assist in providing a clinical diagnosis if indicated. This can be requested by clients or by third parties including insurance companies that may need a diagnosis before moving forward with a claim or to better understand the nature of the issues presented.
The process typically involves a combination of psychometric testing (objective forms of testing such as questionnaires) and a clinical interview (face to face meeting with the psychologist trying to better understand your symptoms or current challenges).
