Incontinence

Urinary incontinence is bladder leakage. There are a few different types of incontinence including stress incontinence (leaks with a cough, sneeze, jumping jack, shout), urge incontinence (leaks with a strong and overwhelming urge to urinate – also often call Overactive Bladder Syndrome), mixed incontinence (symptoms of both stress and urge incontinence), and overflow incontinence (when the bladder has a difficult time to empty properly, overflows and leaks). Urinary leakage can be distressing and prevent

you from living life the way you want. Numerous treatment options exist, ranging from pharmaceutical, to physiotherapy, to surgical. Our gynecologist can determine which treatments might serve you best.
