Eryn Matheson is an Orthopedic and Women’s Health Physiotherapist, who is focused on helping women reestablish a functioning core and strong pelvic.
A Moncton Area Physiotherapist for over 10 years, Eryn saw a huge need for more focused core & pelvic floor rehabilitation in her patients and for women during pregnancy and postpartum.
Eryn is passionate about keeping women active during pregnancy, helping them prepare their core & pelvic floor for birth, and helping new moms navigate postpartum rehabilitation including diastasis recti rehab, c-section rehab, urinary incontinence, prolapse or just providing guidance on safe return to exercise. She can also help you out with all the other aches and pains associated with motherhood (like sore backs, hips, necks, wrists etc. Car seats and babies are heavy!)
She completed postgraduate training in pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain, prenatal/ postnatal rehab, pelvic floor physiotherapy, hypopressive training and core rehabilitation for return to exercise & sport. She’s passionate about creating evidenced based, individualized treatment programs, and empowering her patients with education and individualized treatment plans rather than giving patients lists of “do’s” and “don’ts”.
Eryn received her Bachelor of Science (Bio) from Mount Allison University and her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto, where she was awarded the prestigious Herta Less, and Mary.M. Sauriol awards at graduation.
She is a Faculty member and Physiotherapy Instructor at Nova Scotia Community College, a member of the New Brunswick Physiotherapy Association and & the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists, and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Women’s Health Division.
She’s also the co-founder of Motherhood Link, and online education company which prepares women for pregnancy, birth and postpartum with their core and pelvic floor in mind.
And now she’s thrilled to be partnering and opening ReConnect Health with Katie Kelly, PT.
When she’s not teaching students or in the clinic, you can find her chasing her two boys with her husband, Eric.
